This piece will be a :90 second trailer-format narrative of a book trailer.  We are doing this shoot pro-bono for a local book publisher as an example of the quality we can provide in a book trailer.  Assuming this all goes well, it will secure us several payed book trailer projects in the near future that they are getting ready to release.  

Shooting dates are March 1st and 2nd.  Gary, Connor, and Jenny would be for Sat the 2nd.  

Christian Morris—Main character, male, Caucasian, tall. 17 year-old kid who believes he’s all alone in this world. His mother died when he was young and although he lives with his father, his father acts like Christian doesn’t exist. He feels abandoned. He attempted suicide, and when that didn’t work, he decided to run away. Lives in Portland, Oregon. Deep down he’s a nice guy, but he has a big chip on his shoulder and he’s afraid to let anyone get too close for fear they will abandon him too. He can’t accept that his father is reaching out to him—he can’t imagine his father would ever change. He is defensive a lot, especially regarding his father; and a little snarky at times. 

Scarlett Becket—Female, 16 years old, native of London, Caucasian. Small and petite. She has been kidnapped and carted to Portland where she escaped. She is blind, but she manages to hide it very well. She has dreams in which she sees the death of someone, and then the dreams come true. She is scared to death, but tries hard not to show it by using sarcasm and lots of British slang. She dresses punk and has a streak of pink hair; she is spunky; and she tries to hide her vulnerability by trying to sound confident and like she doesn’t care. She would have a London accent, but not too heavy on the cockney. She is Christian’s love interest.

Gary Wyden—Mid to late 30’s, tall, is Anne Wyden’s brother, and is a mortician. Caucasian. He has a calm, deep, throaty sounding voice. He does the grunt work for Anne Wyden. He’s just a regular guy and not accostomed to being nefarious, so he hired Connor as his lackey to help with the dirty work, but he is getting a little fed up with Connor and his excessive ways.

Connor/Scarface—Early 30’s, smaller and weasley. He is from the east coast. Caucasian. Anne and Gary hired him to do their dirty work, not realizing that his trigger-happy ways would land the police on their tails. Anne and Gary felt they needed someone with experience in criminal behavior to pull off their underhanded dealings, but Connor is over zealous and the Wyden’s quickly regret their decision. He would sound thuggish, aggressive, and like he’s trying too hard to be a tough-guy. Has a scar on his face.

Jenny—19 year old receptionist at Dr. Wyden’s clinic. Caucasian. She is fresh out of high school and studying to be an ophthalmologist. She is a bit ditzy at times—doesn’t always use words correctly. But she is nice, and like most girls, just wants a guy to like her. Portland native. She is lured in by Christian when he flirts with her so that he can use her to get information about Anne Wyden.
