the Salt Lake Community College South City Campus.
Story synopsis:
1) Dangerous Mimes is a satire on the politics and violence of gang warfare. We follow a Hero
mime and his "gang" and the battle they have with a rival group over their beloved street corner.
Hero, when approached by Villain, is forced to fight for his right to perform (own) that street
corner/territory. Our mimes "perform" a dance battle of epic miming proportions and ultimately
our Hero succeeds in defending his territory.
There are no lines of dialogue and we would expect our lead actors to be able to perform and
express emotion using not only mime performance routines, but facial movements and body
language as well. - 2 main characters and 6 support characters - dance ability preferred.
2) Pearly Gates Three men have died and meet with St. Peter at the pearly gates of Heaven.
They are then given a competition to get into heaven: whoever has the best death story…
Characters needed:
St. Peter - Mature male, Irish accent
Jack - Male, 20’s to 30’s
Jon - Male, 20’s to 40’s
Steve - Male, 20’s to 30’s
Jill - Female, 20’s
3) Music Video “Hard to Get” - Title song is sung in a bar (the singer is cast)
- we need many background actors, dancing & talking.
