The Publishing Services Department of the LDS Church will shoot part of a new Family Services message this Friday, December 5, 2014. We are in need of some sterling actors to assist us with this effort.

 

The PROJECT: Part white-board animation and part live-action, this presentation follows a young couple through the trials and eventual success of adopting a child.

SHOOT DATE Friday, December 5, 2014. One day only.

TIME COMMITMENT: Please plan on a full 12 hour day. (Call time: TBD.)

LOCATION: Utah county. (TBD.)

RATE: $500/day.

NOTE: Participants must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

UNION: This production is not affiliated with any union.

LDS: Applicants must be active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who, according to their assigned ecclesiastical authority (bishop or branch president), are living a temple-worthy life. This status will be verified.

-            EXCEPTION: The only exception to this would be for the role of the Birth-Mother, Suzie, who may be active, temple-worthy LDS or not a member of the LDS faith.

 

ROLES:

APRIL and WADE (25-30 years old) are freshly married, happy and excited to be starting their lives together in their humble home.

-            It would be fantastic if we could cast an actual married couple in these roles. That, however, is not requisite; only a plus.

-            We are also hoping that one (or both) of them would be of an indeterminate ethnicity other than white: with ethnic features or coloring that hints at a non-white ethnicity (caramel) without being overtly distinct.

 

SUZIE is the birth-mother. While this project focuses mainly on the adoptive parents, this role is crucial to the story. We seek a young woman (age 17-24, of any ethnicity) who can repeatedly express some very deep, poignant emotion without saying a word. She must be willing to portray a young mother who has become pregnant out-of-wedlock.

-            Due to the sensitive nature of this role, we have been given permission to seek actors who are either active, temple-worthy LDS or who are not members of the LDS faith.
