THE CORNER MEDIA, an award-winning music video & social media production company, is casting a male & female actor for their latest music video project for the new local band KIPLING.

 

KIPLING, after wowing crowds at shows across the state with their unique sound, this rock band has now released its first EP and is now partnering with THE CORNER MEDIA for their first music video. “Right Above Me” can be described as a love-lost, dreams-lost song and will be a unique cinematic experience. The video tells a unique ‘love’ story of a male and female in a desolate earth through symbolic elements of fire and water finding each other and beginning to experience human emotions for the first time. It is a unique emotional journey that will require the actors to tell the story with subtle emotions.

 

SEEKING

We are seeking a one young talented male and one female ages 18-25 that are looking to build their resume and work hard for an award winning director and cinematographer to gain a stellar looking video. Must be willing to work hard with a group of talented award winning filmmakers and most of all have fun.

 

TIME

Time commitment would be at least 6 hours of character/camera rehearsals and then one 8-10 hour shoot that would go into the late hours (beyond midnight) at the Great Salt Lake and surrounding area. You’d also need to be available for a few wardrobe/makeup tests. Shooting will be worked around your schedule, but shot within the month of August.

This is a “clean” video, nothing risqué about it. Rehearsals are critical to get the chemistry and to understand and work through the emotional direction, as it is very abstract and not a typical cliché love story.

 

Those selected will be contacted by the director for a non-traditional meet and greet with the director, producer & band members to get to know their personality and willingness to participate. Those selected to come back will have another audition where we will match up male & females and have a small unrelated reading where we can get to know chemistry and willingness to do be directed. This is a non-paying job which must shoot in August.

 

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

           

  • 1 Male and 1 female needed
  • Couples may apply together, but we will audition them separately.
  • 18-25 years old (or appear)
  • 5’8” or taller
  • Female must have brunette hair
  • Male hair is unspecific.
  • Ability to wear colored contacts (no eye irritations/issues)
  • non-paid/non-union
  • Availability to travel to the Provo and Salt Lake Areas
  • Time commitment of 6 hours of rehearsals & one 10 hour shoot day (evening-night shoot)
  • Shoot in August TBD
  • Willingness to take emotional risks with an abstract concept
  • Willing to have fun with a group of ambitious guys and make great film

 

THIS IS A CLEAN VIDEO, nothing risqué at all, but the emotions may feel abstract. That’s part of the fun.
