Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company’s 2013-2014 season opening musical
Something’s Afoot will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 from noon to 4:00
p.m. Callbacks will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013; times will be announced
to auditioners who are called back.
Audition slots from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17 are for Actors’
Equity members only. Audition slots from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. that day are
open to all auditioners. Auditioners must be 18 years old or older. The audition
slots are limited to three minutes.
All auditioners must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at
Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The sign-up sheet will be posted by noon on
Friday, May 10, 2013.
Auditions will be held in Room 245 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The
first audition will be singing only. Auditioners should prepare from a
traditional musical theatre piece; nothing contemporary, please. An accompanist
will be provided, but auditioners should bring their own sheet music. A photo
and résumé are recommended. The callback audition may involve movement, reading
from the script and music from the script.
Rehearsal dates for the production are Monday, August 26, 2013 – Thursday,
September 19, 2013; performance dates are Friday, September 20, 2013 – October
5, 2013. PTC Artistic Director Karen Azenberg will direct and choreograph and
guest artist Helen Gregory will music-direct the production.
All roles are currently available; all auditioners must be 18 or older.
Something’s Afoot is the musical comedy version of Agatha Christie’s
mystery And Then There Were None.

All characters are British. Lettie and Flint use a cockney accent; the rest
are decidedly upper class in their accent.
Lettie (the saucy maid) 20-30, Mezzo-soprano
