BREAKDOWN
Jordan:
Male About 10-12 bright, half brother of Dani (the lead) wants to be a family. He's the
pivot point for the aggressive step-mother in trying to get the Father's clandestine
accounts. The voice of truth in the piece.
Kevin
A young man Dani's age 17- 19 whose father is well off. Knows thoroughbreds and
horses in general. He's taken with Dani's beauty but put off by her early arrogance and
sense of entitlement. They both come around by the end of the picture.
Cameron:
Kevin's father. Well to do, and a generally very nice guy who thinks highly of Dani's
uncle, Sam. Well spoken, in his late 40's to early 50's.
Vanessa
The trophy wife (as I've called her in the script). Late 30's early 40's. The one character
that has few, if any, redeeming characteristics. Attractive and used to having her own
way. Not a great mom -- rather a great "spender" of other people's money. But she
should have the kind of character that can easily go from one side to the other (in order
to secure what she wants).
Street:
Male Any ethnicity except Caucasian The county sheriff. Nice guy . Appears early to
help Dani find her home (and inadvertently introduce her to Kevin) Age can be from 30's
thru 50's.
Houghton:
Brooke's father. He is in his 50's probably and wealthy as well. Nice guy who says little.
Consuming interest is his daughter's happiness.
Brooke: Female (17) Nice girl from well to do family
