Utah - SAG ULB feature film “TWICE THE DREAM” Kids and adults
We are casting for an independent, SAG ULB feature film that will be shot in August in Utah County.
The casting call will be held next Tuesday, April 15th.
We will be casting a total of 13 roles. Please see the character breakdown.

“TWICE THE DREAM”
Logline: While unraveling the mystery of her sister’s untimely death, Samantha embarks on a
journey to live her sister’s unfulfilled dream.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS

AMBER (21 years old) ALREADY CAST
A girly girl, always dressed to the nines and impeccably groomed. A bit of a push over, she
wants to make everyone happy. Despite doing her best to make everyone around her happy, she
often neglects her own wishes and dreams. She dotes on her sister, SAM, whom she privately
shares her vulnerability, longings, dreams, and generous spirit. She’s in the middle of a
dysfunctional family but does her best to avoid conflict.
SAM (17 years old) ALREADY CAST
AMBER’S younger sister. Tomboyish, but beautiful under the facade. Worships her big sister.
She is easy going and carefree, until you cross her. When she is trifled with, she can be
sarcastic, hot tempered, and feisty. Deep down, she’s just a down to earth girl who takes solace
in her sister. Sam is AMBER’S best friend.
TRISTAN (22 years old) ALREADY CAST
Ridiculously handsome, yet downplays his attractiveness with his disheveled, indie rock style.
Confident, but not full of himself. He’s AMBER’S steady boyfriend. He’s thoughtful, even keel,
considerate. Like Amber, he is a dreamer. He leads his own rock band, “Epic Chance.”
PETER (30 years old) ALREADY CAST
Hispanic, tall, handsome. Enjoys showing off his gym honed physique. He’s PATRICIA’S third
husband. He’s a social climber, but has a tender heart. He’s a push over towards Patricia, and
will do just about anything she tells him to do. She’s the “boss” in the marriage.

PATRICIA (43-46 years old) Supporting Lead
Rate: $100 per day/works 9 days
Physical note: Caucasian, fit, attractive. Preferably blonde hair, as SAM and AMBER are both
blonde)
Mother to AMBER and SAM. An attractive woman who cares too much about her appearance…
and it shows. She’s on her third marriage: to PETER. She’s uptight, and always has to have
things her way. As AMBER’S “momager”, she exerts as much control as she can over
AMBER’S life. Underneath her controlling behavior is a troubled childhood that she tries to forget
about by focusing on Amber’s aspiring acting career. She can be vulnerable, but she hides it with
excessive alcohol consumption.
DAVID (45-52 years old) Supporting Lead
Rate: $100 per day/works 6 days
Physical note: Caucasian, attractive. Any hair color.
SAM and AMBER’S dad. Ruggedly attractive, yet gentle and soft spoken. He loves his daughters
more than anything, but his corporate job doesn’t leave him with a lot of time to spend with them.
He’s sharp, witty, yet a little quirky and fun. Divorced PATRICIA after a conflict filled marriage.
David shares joint custody with PATRICIA over the girls.
MONIQUE (21-23 years old) Supporting
$50 a day/works 4 days
Physical note: African American, attractive.
AMBER’S best friend since Jr. High School. She is attractive, ethnic, and spunky. She is a
classic “shopaholic” she always has to have the latest and greatest. Always dressed to the
nines. Although sporting a spunky, “hip” persona, she is intelligent and genuinely loves Amber.
STEVE (50-55 years old) Supporting
$100 a day/works 2 days
Physical note: Any race, attractive
He is stern and sharp. A successful psychiatrist. Has been friends with PATRICIA for a long
time. He’s kind, but a real “no nonsense” kind of guy.
SARAH (45-50 years old) Day player
$50 a day/works 1 day
Physical note: Caucasian, attractive
A successful music agent. She’s totally no-nonsense, and will not waste her time. Total
business woman.
ROBERT (45-50 years old) Day player
$50 a day/works 1 day
Physical note: Any race, body type preferably on the heavier side
The booking manager at the Muse Cafe. He’s sympathetic, but gets stuck in an awkward
position by PATRICIA.
CHASE (21-24 years old) Featured

Physical note: Any race. He’s a real rocker. Colored hair, piercings, tattoos are more than
welcome!
An energetic rocker. He’s a guitar player in TRISTAN’S band “Epic Chance”. He’s carefree,
funloving, and passionate about the music.
CREEPY GUY (40’s-60) Featured

Physical note: Should be a little odd looking, or at least can pull off a weird look. Caucasian.
He’s not quite all “there”, and admires both AMBER and PATRICIA…. and their feet.
MOTHER (30-35 years old) Day player

A young mother who is trying to put a jacket on her resisting daughter.
DAUGHTER (4-6 years old) Day player
