he Midvale Arts Council is casting "Steel Magnolias," a dramatic comedy, written by Robert Harling. The play revolves around the bonds of friendship formed by six strong, Southern women from Louisiana in a beauty parlor. Casey Matern, dir.

Rehearses weeknights and weekends beginning January 2013; runs February 22-March 2, 2013 in Midvale, UT.

Seeking—Females: 18+, experience with hair dressing or design is a bonus.

Auditions will be held December 15, 9-11 a.m. at the Midvale Performing Arts Center, 695 W. Center St. (7720 S.) in Midvale, UT. Callbacks will be Dec. 19 by invitation only.

Prepare a 30- to 60-second monologue. Be prepared to present your monologue both with and without a Southern accent. Bring pix & resumes.
