Poison Ivy Mysteries announces auditions for
"Lights...Camera...Murder!" their January/February show.
Auditions will be Saturday, December 5 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Poison Ivy
Mysteries Theatre located inside the Valley Fair Mall. 3601 South 2700 West,
West Valley Utah.
Character descriptions:
Character descriptions:
Iggy Ego: Hollywood's lattest greatest directing sensation. Mid 20's to 40's. This character is full of himself, loud and loves the women.
Edwin Depp: British actor trained in classical theatre. Mid 20' to mid 30's. Proper, handsome and extremely talented.
Max Murphy: This charater is a comedian and can play many parts well. Mid 20's to mid 40's.
Tiffany Swords: Late teens to Mid 30's. New to Hollywood. Young and impressionable but wants to taste the Hollywood scene.
Meredith Fleur: Late teens to Mid 30's. A writer of the beatnik poet variety. Revels in the depression she finds herself in. Doesn't want her art to get lost in the Hollywood scene.
Please bring a resume, head shot and 16 measures of a prepared song with a minus track accompaniment
Shows will run mid January to the end of February. This is a paying
gig.

production is being produced in the Salt Lake Community College Black Box
Theater (above the Grand Theatre). It is open to all. You DO NOT need to be a
SLCC student to audition, but--if cast--you may receive college credit if you so
desire.

WHERE: BLACK BOX THEATER, SLCC-South City Campus, 1575 South State Street, 3rd Floor (up the ramp from the Grand Theatre), Room W-381
WHAT: Choose one monologue from the play (cut roughly to 10-15 lines); Please bring a resume if you have one
THE ROLES OF TOBY BELCH AND OLIVIA HAVE BEEN CAST. ALL OTHER ROLES ARE OPEN.
Some actors will be cast in multiple roles. These include smaller roles such as the Sea Captain, Priest, Attendants, Soldiers, Musicians and so on.
PLEASE NOTE: These are EARLY auditions for the Spring semester production in order to give the director the best pool of performers possible. A second round of auditions may or may not be held, depending on casting needs.
REHEARSALS: Cast and Crew will rehearse MWF Evenings 6-10 pm with Tuesdays assigned at the discretion of the director; rehearsals begin January 11.

Production designed by Assistant Professor Jon Clark and the students of SLCC technical theatre classes.
