The Mousetrap is
the first main stage production at the Covey Center for the Arts, and will be
directed by Barta Heiner. It is scheduled to run September 10-18,
2010.
Auditions:
Thursday, July 15 7-9 p.m.
Friday, July 16 5-7 p.m.

Please come prepared with two contrasting monologues, one comedy, one drama, to total 2-3 minutes.

Open auditions for a brand new
play called, "Y-light." A spoof of the Twilight series for this Halloween at the
OBT, written by Patrick Gibbs, will take place Saturday, July 31, at 12pm - 3pm
at the Off-Broadway theatre, 272 S. Main in SLC.
When Ella Swoon moves to the town of American Forks to live with her father and attend BYU in Provo, her life is changed forever by a mysterious boy named Edmund Sullen. Soon Ella is facing vampires, both new school and old school, as Count Dracula himself, outraged by what edmund has done to the image of vampries, seeks revenge, and University of Utah "Beerwolves" goes after the Sullens. Team Edmund wears blue and Team Jacob wears red (if they wear a shirt at all) in Patrick Gibbs's script for the OBT's Y-LIGHT.
Bring current head shots, and be prepared to do cold readings from the script and sing.
Auditions held between 12 noon - 3PM. Ages 16 years and up.
CAST OF CHARACTERS
ELLA SWOON, lead, our heroine, young and pretty. Ella narrates the story, speaking directly to the audience.
EDMUND SULLEN, Tall, pale, handsome, skinny vampire.
JACOB BROWN, A young Ute Indian who is also a werewolf.
FANGORIA, a beautiful, red haired female vampire.
3 VAMPIRE BRIDES (Dracula’s minions.).
THE SULLEN FAMILY (all vampires)
ARGYLE, the father.
EASEMENT, the mother.
MAMMETT, male.
CASPER, male.
MALICE, female.
ROSEMARIE, female.
3 or MORE UTE BEERWOLVES, most of them should be male, but one or two could be female.
JESSICA, a female BYU student. (Can double as almost anything.)
CHEMISTRY TEACHER (male or female, Can double as almost anything.)
TOWNSPEOPLE
