Synopsis: This shoot will include filming for two short scripted films that will be used as tools to help advocate for smarter water use and public awareness of local water use issues. Both films will be light and satiric --but with serious underlying issues being highlighted through the charcter Chicken Little and these seemingly whimsical tones. The films will revolve around the legislative process involved with water use in the state of Utah and will require various actors to play the parts of legislature members, lobbyists, taxpayers, and a heroic janitor.
Character Bios:
Mr. Little: His first name is Chicken; this character will represent the various water lobbyists in the state who use scare tactics to alarm legislators and taxpayers into approving harmful water projects that will, incidentally, benefit said lobbyists quite handsomely in monetary terms. This character will require the actor to wear a chicken costume and suit --both provided by the producers¬-- and ideally this actor will be a large-bodied and middle-aged male with an eye for comic timing.
Janitor: An actor --preferably male between the ages of 20-50-- is needed to play a no-nonsense janitor who works at the state capitol and who helps expose the ridiculous water wasting antics of Mr. Little.
Taxpayers: Several adult actors --preferably between the ages of 25-50 and both male and female-- are needed to portray inquisitive taxpayers who are sitting in the crowd during a legislative hearing regarding Utah's water use.
Legislators: Several middle-aged to older-aged actors --both male and female-- are needed to portray uninformed legislators who are enabling water lobbyists in their missions to monetize and damage Utah's water infrastructure.
